What is one of the things you would put on your bucket list?

To be fluent in Italian. It’s such a passionate language with so much history.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Greece and Italy to see the art and artifacts of the past several millennia in person—from the Bronze Age through the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Renaissance and beyond (sigh).

Where would you go if you were invisible?

My favourite piece of art is at the Louvre. I would go see the Winged Nike (Victory) in person and up close, when I was the only soul around, and imagine who I would be if I were her.

If you were stranded on a tropical island, what two things would you want with you?

A fully fuelled sea-plane in excellent working order and a hale and hearty, expert pilot. Failing that, and assuming I have everything I need to stay alive, I would want my books and my dog.

If you could teach any subject, what would it be and why?

English grammar is my jam!
