If you were stranded on a tropical island, what 2 things would you want with you?
A solar powered charger to keep my cell phone working so I can stay connected with all my family, friends, and clients of course…and an endless supply of inflated pool toys to make the beach time more fun! :0)
If you had access to a time machine, where would you go and why?
I would go back to the mid-1990’s because it would bring me back to my high school and college days which were an amazing time in my life when I had met some of my best friends; but also because it would bring me back to a time when my Grandma was alive. I wish I could have more time with her. I would bring my daughter and husband with me so they could meet her and we could all make meatballs & cabbage rolls and bake shortbread cookies & cinnamon buns together.
What is one of your weird quirks?
I find typo’s easily - they stick out to me like a misaligned picture on a perfectly painted wall!
What is your favourite movie quote? (Include the movie title)
My favourite movie quote is “There's no place like home” from The Wizard of Oz. This may sound cliche for a Real Estate Agent, but it truly is my favourite; so much so, that I have it tattooed on my arm with a maple leaf and outline of Manitoba in the veins of the leaf; and it's on a sign in my living room décor. I was born and raised in Winnipeg and although I love to travel, Winnipeg will always be my home. I love Winnipeg! It’s where my family and friends are. "There's no place like home" holds special meaning for me because it encapsulates the comfort, belonging, and personal significance that home provides. It represents a unique combination of emotional safety, cherished memories, and personal identity, making it an irreplaceable part of my life.
What is your favourite TV channel?
I don't watch TV often but when I do it’s CityTV because I enjoy all the Law and Order shows and I'm hooked on The Bachelorette, The Bachelor, and Bachelor in Paradise. It's a guilty pleasure! However, CTV is also my favourite for the news and The Good Doctor which unfortunately ended earlier this year.
What was your favourite book growing up and why?
My favourite book growing up was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl because I enjoyed the engaging story of Charlie Bucket and all the imaginative characters. It’s whimsical, suspenseful and adventurous with underlying lessons about virtue, greed and consequences of ones actions; but also that anything is possible in Willy Wonka's fantastical world.
